Seachem Flourish Excel – provides carbon for aquatic plants

Flourish Excel™ provides an organic, bioavailable carbon source for aquarium plants. While plants usually get carbon from CO2, they can also use simple organic compounds. Using Flourish Excel™ alongside CO2 injection is safe and effective. Both help produce photosynthetic intermediates, which are essential for plant growth. Flourish Excel™ can be used alone or with CO2, especially in cases where adding more CO2 could lower pH to unsafe levels.

Flourish Excel™ also helps by reducing iron, making it easier for plants to absorb (Fe+2 instead of Fe+3).

Plants need CO2 to create longer carbon chains called photosynthetic intermediates, like ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate. Although Flourish Excel™ doesn’t contain these exact compounds, it includes similar ones that plants can use directly. This allows plants to build carbon chains for photosynthesis without needing as much CO2. The compounds in Flourish Excel™ can be easily converted into various necessary forms through simple chemical or enzymatic processes
